Hello!! I have been lurking for a while and have learned so much! Thank You!
I work for Marriott Hotels and we are very fortunate to have excellent associate rates. I can get my rate at the : Renaissance or Aruba Marriott Resort Which do you recommend and why? We are a small group of adults. Any help would be greatly appreciated! First trip is in early December!

I've stayed at the Marriot Surf and the Renaissance. Definitely prefer the Renaissance Adult section. You have access to a great beach uncrowded across the street. The Surf is a "mega" hotel. Takes you approximately 10-15 minutes just to get from your room to any location on the premises. Too many people, and too many rules.

What about a comparison between the Marriott Stellaris and Renaissance?

Have stayed at and enjoyed both,,,,,but very different.
If the beach is your top priority, then you can't beat the Renaissance private island. Easy to get a nice spot at beach or pools. If it's nightlife and higher end accomodations, then Marriott Stellaris.

Stellaris- 6 am for a lounge chair at pool, more dressy, not laid back, ability to walk the beach from one end to the other, close to boat services ie Jolly Pirate, Palm Pleasure, casino in building We've been at both during 2 week vacations with our Marriott points. Not sure if "gold Services" are at either. I need to find that out.

I would chose marrot stellar. Its right on the beach and not in the city like the other one.You dont need to wait for a boat to go to the beach. You can wake up and walk the beach, and a more resort type of setting. But if you want to be in the middle of a city you might like the other.

i have stayed at Marriott Stellaris and Rensaiisance Marina and Ocean suites.
Paul and i prefer the Marina and Ocean suites (both renaissance) due to the fact that the private island is awesome and the beach at the marriott is crowded/congested for our liking. |
