Marriott Construction/Radisson Renovation

Does anyone know what the estimated completion of the Marriott Construction is?
When was the Radisson most recently renovated?

Radisson underwent a $55 million renovation in 2000.

I will be there Friday afternoon on the property. I do know that LaVista was closed for renovations until October 2008. I believe the guest rooms are completed. I know they were working on the lobby area. At some point in the future they're going toredo the pool, but not now.

Radisson vs Westin

I agree that the Radisson is the better choice. The beach is nicer and the pool is absolutely gorgeous.

If you like a high end AI, I have a one bedroom suite at the Occidental Grand that can be booked for the week of 3/14. This is like nothing you've ever seeen. The suite is absolutely gorgeous, and it includes a private dining room on the 9th floor where you can order items like Lobster or Filets, every night. You also have the option to join the guests at all the other restaurants at the resort. It includes private airport pickup, golf clubs, free internet, and many other amenities including a private beach area with top shelf bar for Royal Club guests of Occidental only.

Price a hotel room in this part of the resort (Royal Club) on expedia. Then call me. I am renting a full two room suite with a pool and ocean view on the 7th, 8th or 9th floors only. I guarantee you will love this resort more than the others and love my price. macalh@aol.com

I just stayed at the Radisson and loved it. I thought everything still looked good, but they are renovating it after December. They are putting another 35 million into it from flat screen tvs, updating the rooms and lobby, to more landscaping. We got this information from one of the managers. According to him, the hotel will stay open and there should not any inconvience to the people staying there. They feel they must renovate to keep up with the competition.
