ok, a few questions, # 1 if you rent from them ( 1 Bedroom ) how often do you get room cleaned ? # 2 do they supply toliet paper, paper towels etc..?
# 3 do the coffee pots need paper filters ? #4 is the spa in that section of the Marriotts ? Is it good ? #5 Best restuarant in the complex ? #6 I remember reading you can actually rent a papyla, does anyone know how much ? #7 final, i know they are going to be doing renovations, does everyone believe them to be done by 11/22 ? #8 is there a better place to request a 1 bedroom, besides on the higher floor facing the pool area, a particular building ? If it is from Marriott I think it is daily.
If it is from an owner, only a tidy service during midweek
Tidy service consists of; making all beds, cleaning bathroom, vacuum if necessary, sweep/mop floors, empty trash and replace towels.

# 2 do they supply toliet paper, paper towels etc..?
Yes

Half are free and the other half can be rented: The rental fee for the Palapas (odd numbers only) is $15.00 (100’s and 200’s) and $10.00 (300’s, 400’s, 500’s, and 600’s)

#7 final, i know they are going to be doing renovations, does everyone believe them to be done by 11/22 ?
If they respect the schedule most probably...

#8 is there a better place to request a 1 bedroom, besides on the higher floor facing the pool area, a particular building ?
Availability depend if you are a guest, an owner or an exchanger, which one are you?

Ki Kath, I own here and have also rented units from owners(Tax savings is so much better) also rented direct from Marriott.Months include Jan,Feb,April and Nov,that we come here since it was built, we came here in fact stayed in Aruba month of Feb 2009 Questions if you rent from owner or own they come make beds ,change sheets and wash fls and baths 3 days after arrival or easier to figure twice in that week.You can pay to have them come in more often or everyday.You can only opt for $$ more towels.There is a free(I think) laundry on every floor.(At surf it is in unit) There is extra towels in area where the jaucci tub is which we don't use so that worked for us plus I buy a 10 pk of face cloths cheap and bring and throw out cheaper than paying for theirs.Next Ques: The extra coffee pot filters are usually in the pot and extra paper towel and garbage bags under sink.,Best place to eat in Complex if no kids is RuthChris. Lots of places closeby if you walk on beach side then cross over very easy head toward Holiday Inn and cross to street side.Next Ques. Renting papyla we never did as we don't want to be on beach at 8 AM but by 11 Am many have cleared out so that worked.We like the food/bar area at Marriott and beach is closer.Next renavations.We stayed last week Jan 09 and many were done.The complete entryway,bar near casino and bathrooms were complete.Our unit was complete.We never know which floor or unit we get that is the only diference between owning a specified week and owning a season.We belong to Interval and it always works out.If you are renting and don't own email me and I will give you additional information JL@ JYL1967@metrocast.net

Pierre, I'm sorry , in answer, I am just renting through Marriott, no owner nor renting from one, in as much as I would love to buy, can't afford right now, one never knows, might get their or back home, love and find a sweet deal

No problems at all.
When traveling half the fun is in the preparation and the expectation.

The reason I've ask from who did you rent is because it will influence your room assignment rank...
Unluckily Marriott guests are almost in the last position...
Don't despair your room will be nice but the view might not be the best one.
(Expect a garden view so if you ever got better you will be happy and not the other way around)

Here's how it works:
Villa are assigned on the day of arrival and are based on the check-out pattern for each particular day and are prioritized in the following order:
-Owners in their owner week
-Home owners exchanging into their home resort
-Any other reservations which includes Marriott Owners, Exchangers, Preview Guests, Rentals, Non-Marriott owners.

Still it couldn't hurt to ask...
Here what I would suggest:
1. Above the lobby facing the pool.
2. Any room facing the Pool (higher floor preferred).

Unless you are using Marriott Reward Points for your stay, did you contemplate the rental from an owner instead?
It's a lot cheaper with a better room assignment rank...

I had requested pool view, higher level already, but will now ask they about adding above lobby, what the heck, maybe I'll get Lucky. I don't know your email address, if you wouldn't mind ? Owners rentals have 3 check in/out days.
Friday to Friday
Saturday to Saturday
Sunday to Sunday
