Marriott Stellaris Aruba

We will be arriving on the island in mid-March and was wondering if anyone who has visited at the Marriott recently can tell me about how you can go about reserving beach palapas? We have been to this hotel several times before and had to wait in line very early in the morning in order to get a palapas. Is this still the case?
Is it possible to reserve the palapas in advance of our arrival and also, has anyone been in march that can tell me how crowded the lounge chairs around the pool get? Can you reserve chairs?
Any information would be grealty appreciated!

Palapas at Marriott Stellaris and Casino - BAD SITUATION!

If you want your vacation to include getting up at 6:30AM to reserve a palapa then this is the hotel for you! We just returned from our vacation there and some days obtained the palapa - at 6:30AM.....some days we didn't and took the chairs. Horrible service throughout the hotel - except for the woman who handles the palapa stand at the TradeWinds area (Hermina). She was honest and caring about the situation. You would think paying upwards of $600 a night for TradeWinds would guarantee a palapa - NO SUCH LUCK. You only are reserved a palapa with the Governor's Suite. Though Marriott does a bang up job of marketing the whole secluded beach idea. The morning conversation at the TradeWinds lounge and in line for coffee will be regarding the poor palapa situation. Would visit Aruba again.........NOT MARRIOTT STELLARIS.

Thumbs up Don't Judge an Island by a Poor Stellaris!

Black,

Give the Renaissance a try, you will have a whole Private 47 acre island to play on only for Renaissance Guests. We get up about 9AM
