Old Aruba Grand

Hi Everyone,

My husband and I went to Aruba in July of 2004 and stayed at the Aruba Grand Hotel which I think is now the Occidental Aruba. Can someone please let me know if this is correct? We are thinking of staying there again and want to make sure we have the right hotel.

Thanks!

Thank you for the clarification. From the pictures I couldn't tell if it the old Aruba Grand was the Occidental or the RIU Palace. It looks like they are pretty comprable (as far as service, ammenities, price, etc... according to trip advisor, etc...). In your opinion which one would you recommend? I have some food allergies (gluten, dairy and seafood) so I am a bit nervous in doing an all inclusive package but as far as price it is the way to go. Any advice, etc... you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Both Occidental and Riu are all inclusive.
We have never stayed at the Riu, but
their facilities are truly beautiful. Personally, I would go with what you could afford.

The pool area at the Riu is pretty spectacular in comparison to the "old" Aruba Grand

re: food allergies
i am not sure that an all inclusive would be the right fit.

could you email the food/beverage managers at both to make inquiries re: cross contamination?
Fish and/or Seafood Allergy
