We stayed at the Sheraton in 1973. We have been back a number of times since.
Just wondering if anyone knows what that hotel became. Is the building still standing?

The RIU is where the Sheraton was.

Yes, the building is still standing. After the Sheraton it was called the Aruba Palm Beach Resort and Casino. Then it changed names to the Aruba Grand. And then the Riu bought it in 2006 - when they purchased it they left the original building and added two more buildings. It is now the Riu Palace.

I Allso stayed at the Sheraton in 1973 April 27th.

Stayed at the Aruba Caribbean (now the Radisson) in 1973 on our honeymoon
and spent much time in the Sheraton's casino. One of the best restaurants back then was the Talk of the Town where we had a great dinner we both still remember clearly.
