Loved the natural bridge before it collapsed...now not so much...view from lighthouse, sunset drinks at the Hyatt, tearing it up on the north side with a rental jeep...I could go on for hours....

Cool Palapa Rentals @ Marriott Stellaris

I know that there are multiple postings on this issue for other hotels, and I have called the hotel and got the run around...they said NO to pre-arrival rentals!...even for Tradewinds side of beach...HOWEVER their website has info saying that you can reserve ahead of time for a fee (see pic 55 in their photo gallery)...don't know who to believe...sent an email to corporate and am waiting for answer. I've also read in tripadvisor that some say you can reserve for 2 or 3 days in a row but that's it...no talk of fee, no link to reserve...nada - very frustrating...palewhitedeskguy doesn't plan to scorch his giblets in Aruba so the fight for the answer endures...please chime in if you have any definitive info....thanx in advance...Bon Dia!

Real short answer if no one responds...anywhere between $10 - $25 (there are varying reports online and it varies by location of the palapa), but never for more than 3 days in a row.

You can rent them in advance but only after you check in... Not from home. I always stay at one of the marriotts and found that a lot of people make a big deal on this board about availability of palapa rental. I've never had a problem... But I always have gone on the "off season". I thought I remembered it being $15 a day to rent... But I usually get up in the morning and go reserve a free palapa. The odd thing is that I'm not a morning person but love to go get my coffee and walk outside to the palapa rentals and then dip my feet in the ocean.

Thanks for posting that information. I was just talking to my husband the other day about the palapas at the Marriott and wondering if the policy was still the same as it was the last time we stayed there two years ago, and apparently it is. I was going to email and ask, but now I don't have to .

We've stayed at the Marriott Stellaris during busy seasons (many times over Easter week, and also in the summer) and never had any problem reserving directly after checking in, which is usually some time around 3 pm.
