I read on here somewhere that you can rent Palapas from the Radisson for 45.00 dollars for the week, and inquired with the Radisson about this, Germaine emailed me and said it is actually 40.00 per day, which I think is rather expensive, I guess I will just reserve everyday at 4PM, would of been nice though to be able to rent them for the week at a reasonable cost.

Just remember that the Aruba Tower will be under refurbishment only the Bonaire and Curacao will be open and there will be a lot more palapas available due to less people at resort. We're there 7-28--8-4 and looking forward to another enjoyable stay at the Radisson. When we were there last summer, had no problem getting next day shade at 4:30 p.m. or even the day of in the morning.

I wonder if they will have some kind of deal for the week (Sept when very few people go?)

I know when I stayed at the Radisson two years ago-- hardly anyone was on the beach with us. (heck, i never seen anyone on our floor in the hotel either.

I would pay to rent a palapa here (since I heard that it is very hard at the Occidental)

Common opinion seems to be that with the Aruba tower closed, it is not necessary to pay for a palapa and hardly any need to reserve one in advance at 4 pm the day before.

Oh yeah, they are still selling the day passes...you can use the Radisson beach every single day.
