    Prices

You know prices will have to come down because I have looking for prices for our vacations for the the middle of march and the middle of sept from Baltimore and it is cheaper in march which is considered high season. last year when we went at the end of april it was way cheaper then this year also. Wondering what prices will drop to this year. My wife hates that I wait so long but the prices usually drop

Billy, the lowest i ever got for the end of April was $267 round trip, that was excellent.

But on the other hand Oil is going to be up over $100 a barrel, and this will hurt our good prices..

Talk to you soon Billy Boy

I play the prices game too. The past few years, I've book our mid-March trip to the Divi the first week in February - flights and hotel. This year, I got a good deal on direct Jet blue flights so I booked them first a few months ago. Now I'm starting to panic because the Divi is usually doing a 20% off sale through Travelocity or Orbitz - nothing yet and some of the weeks in February are sold out - not only school vacation week. Hmmm, might have to pay full price for the hotel this year, but we've gotten such a good deal the past few years, it's ok....of course 20% off would be much better !!

MCM Tours/ Players Choice sometimes has the best prices for specific resorts. We found them to be the cheapest for the Westin, Radisson and Tamarijn. For the Westin and Radisson they also are the only ones (that I know of) to offer breakfast buffet for 2 as part of their package price. Many times they offer food and beverage or beverage credits as well.

Though from what I understand the Tamarijn has not yet released any specials for this year. When I checked CheapCaribbean yesterday the Tamarijn for summer was $475+ for two per night Summer of 2009 we paid less than $300.

Arubalisa is right on with Player's Choice. Just booked the end of June for the Radisson for 2398..... Non-stop on Jet Blue from Boston, 200 drink credit, 100 match play, transfers and breakfast buffet daily.... For that, I can't afford to stay home!

Travel industry prices are up for Aruba this year and seats are harder to find. Looking at the flights on my company there aren't as many available as there usually are two months out.

Less seats due to fewer planes or higher demand?
