Hi all,

First time poster, long time lurker. This forum is great.

We have been to Aruba 5 times and have stayed in various places. I have never stayed at the Ren and I am thinking about trying it. Ren Island seems like it is right up my alley but the other thing that is up my alley is peace and quiet. It looks like Ren Island is very close to the airport runways. On the wiki map it seems to be about 500 meters away. Is the noise from the planes a bother when on Ren Island?

Nope...don't even notice it. Though it is fun to watch them land on the other side of the island. The times are pretty consisitant, most arrivals are afternoons and they fly over the island, most departures don't.

Agreed, no distubances from the air traffic. Actually the only time I do notice a little is the day b4 we leave reminding me that we will be going soon. No worries, you will have all the peace and quiet you want!
