Question Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino

I we are a young couple from Tennessee that is thinking about staying at the Renaissance Aruba Marina Hotel at the Renaissance Aruba Resort and Casino. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions about this resort or any other resort/hotel in Aruba. Thank you.

i love the renaissance marina hotel.
request a room not facing the back street near rumbas
you will find the beds very comfortable, staff friendly and accomodating.
you will love the private isle!
you will love the bed in the room!

the rooftop pool is lovely and the deck furniture comfy.

if you want in town resort....if you do not want kitchen or cooking.....renaissance marina tower is for you.

renaissance suites are across the street and have kitchenette and small living room

the renaissance suites are nice too, but not as upscale.

For a younger couple, looking for quiet and romance, I also like the Bucuti Resort.

We own a timeshare at the Renaissance Suites which is part of the Marina Towers. I would suggest either or for a great vacation. The island is the main reason we go there...its a taste of heaven, no crowds....you can't go wrong eiher place. The suites have the full set up, the marina tower is the hotel....I totally agree with andrea....

We've started adding a few extra days at the Ren. Marina and have stayed there twice. If you want to be in town this is great. There seemed to be a mix of all ages here and of course no children. I second everything Andrea said. The rooms aren't large, but are very comfy. The pool area is wonderful with a nice view of the water, and in a short boat ride you're at the peaceful private island.
It just depends if you want to be on the beach or not. The is a little beach area at the ocean suites across the street.

Thanks everyone for all your help. Is the resort right down town in the middle of everything. If so that is good. We wanting to get out, but don't want to have to drive. Also what does the average dinner costs. We will be on a budget and will have to stick to it.

yep, right in the middle of down town. Great stores, restuarants, you'll have the private island, bus stops....Dinners, in my estimation, or best guesstimate, moderate would be 12.99-19.99 each, and high end would be 23.99-34.99...Downtown area there is lots to choose from. I am sure you will just love it. Read some of the suggested restuarants on this site and you'll see more than enough. YOU WILL LOVE IT

We love the Marina Towers. The resturants in the hotel are pricy but there are many great places to eat within walking distance. The Old Fisherman is very reasonable with great food - around $12 - $15 for a meal. Rumba's Bar and Grill is behind the hotel - also reasonable prices. Que Pasa is very good and they will split an entree for you without an additional charge. There is a Dunkin Donuts across the street and down about a block. Another way to save is to go to the grocery store across the street behind the hotel. We buy beer, soda, and snacks - there is a small refrig in the room. We also pack a soft side cooler to take to the pool with us. Also - the Renaissance has a package called Sand Dollars - your 5th night is free and they give you $100 food/beverage credit per room. You can use that at the pool bar, any resturant within the resort complex or on the Private Island. Hope you enjoy you stay as much as we do.

In agreement with all of the other posts. Renaissance is our favorite place to stay in Aruba. The private island is pure paradise...not crowded, very relaxed, nice boat ride over, great snorkeling and beautiful beach. We would often catch the short boat ride over early in the morning and stay until dinner time. There is a relatively inexpensive open-air restaurant on the private island and some days we went shopping at the grocery store behind the Renaissance Marina Hotel and packed a lunch. You are in the heart of downtown and can walk to many clubs and restaurants. Great location if you do not want to rent a car. You can also catch the bus downtown to other parts of the island for $2.60 per person round trip.

    Have a great time!
    See you in Aruba!!!
    Next Aruba trip in
