Renaissance Island Parrots ***POLL***

Recently the parrots/tropical birds have been removed from the Renaisance private island. My family and myself loved seeing the birds every year when we return to Aruba. It was part of our vactions tradition to feed them pistacios. Being an owner at the Renaissance I feel management should have put this to a vote and not just relying on a few complaints. Thank you for your time.

Great thanks Cindy! I would like to try to make a difference and see the birds come back. I will probably need some help when all said and done with this poll. I will keep you posted!

We'll get 'em at the April 14th Owners' Meeting. If I have to, I'll bring my own Parrot!

I think I know which birds you're talking about (I stay in the lowrise hotels). My question is...WHY were they removed ? If it's for their wellbeing, then I say 'let them go where they will be happy and safe'.

An honest question....does anyone REALLY believe that's why they got rid of them?

I agree if it were for their well-being then by all means remove them. But the truth to the matter is they were removed because of a few people who complained that they were too noisy while they were resting on the beach. It's a legitimate complaint but there is another beach they could go to right next door if the birds were annoying them. And from what it sounds like from the people at Renaissance it was not that many people. That's why I started this poll, there are probably thousands of people who own there why do a few get their way and ruin it for all the others?

IMO, they were removed because the closer it got to Thanksgiving the more people were fattening them up. Feeding them bread crumbs, cranberries and spices, If you know what I mean
