    Renaissance Marina Hotel

I do this to myself every time -- right before a trip, I start reading trip advisor and freak myself out!

Can someone please tell me about the Renaissance Marina?

We booked it because it is a Marriott property and is beautiful. Now I'm reading that it's very dated and that the rooms are not so nice. We also chose the Marina Hotel because there are no kids - not that we're opposed - just like to sleep in.

    Please and thanks in advance!

The Marina rooms are not as dated as those at the Ocean Suites. Are they spectacular, no, but they're nice. The pool and bar are great for adults and the beach and private island have no equal.
Stop second guessing yourself, you've made a great choice!

my husband and i have found the rooms at the marina tower very good.

some find the rooms tired, i think they are A-OK.
the pool area is extremely lovely and the lobby is lovely too.

exactly as rob o says......you've made a great choice.

I love the beach (who doesn't?), anywhere that I can snorkel, The Donkey Sanctuary (much to the dismay of my daughter), the lighthouse.

We stayed at the Marina hotel last Saturday night (we then moved to our timeshare on Palm Beach). Our room was very nice and the bed was very comfortable. We used Priceline to get our room, so I can only assume that the one we were assigned was probably not the best in the house due to the outstanding price we received. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to stay there again. Relax, you will have a great vacation!

I agree with the all the replies. We stayed there just last month, after 6 nights at the Marriott Ocean Club. The rooms are very nice and the service is excellent. The private island is also attractive and quiet for an adults only vacation. Certainly, picking up the water taxi in the lobby is a treat. The casino is also a nice feature of the property. Enjoy your vacation!
