    Renaissance Question

This is probably a stupid question but I'm wondering if the timeshare units and hotel units are one and the same? We booked a week with the Divi for next year but I would like to tack on a few days at another resort. We have never stayed downtown and so we thought it might be a nice change.

    there are 2 renaissances
marina tower is next door to the casino. those are all hotel rooms. adults only. 2 max per room

ocean suites......across the street and set back behind the marketplace. 3 floors of timeshares and 2 floors of hotel.
they are all 1 bedroom suites.
the timeshare units have a very limited kitchen, with a 2 burner cooktop, 2 college dorm size refrigerators. king bed and pullout sofa.

the non timeshare units still are the same layout at the timeshare, but no cooktop, only 1 refrigerator.
    kids are allowed.
    room capacity is 4.

Here's my take on it Pegmeister, as units go floors 1,3 and 5 are timeshare units technically.
Floors 2 and 4 are hotels. That being said the hotel units look exactly the same except for kitchen setup stuff and frigs. I believe there is only 1 frig vs 2 .
They have all been redone, well not exactly as they are done yet.
    Feel free to ask anymore!!

The reason I was asking is it seems like timeshare owners aren't thrilled with the renovations. It made me wonder if the hotel accommodations were different. If I understand Andrea correctly, the Marina Tower is next to the Crystal Casino. We have been to Blue Bar which I assume is the Marina Tower? Which building do people prefer?

These are great questions, Peg. I really want to try the Renaissance area for a couple nights before or after a timeshare rental on Palm Beach. I'm thinking the Marina tower will be for us, but I look forward to hearing responses.
Not sure when, but we will be back

Marina Tower ( blue Bar) is adult only and just hotel room. Only 2 per room. Suites have the balcony, lg bathroom, living room and king bed.
its not that we dislike the place honestly, it's the amount of money our units got charged in additional maintenance fees to cover the unimpressive redo.

Are there wristbands? or something to identify you as a guest? I would love to stay someday, but we travel in larger groups. Even my immediate family of 5 wouldn't fit, unless they offer cots?

i do not think there are wristbands.
i have never seen anyone wearing them.

re: the room capacity of 4 is @ the ocean suites............that is what they say, but we did see a family of 5 there.
2 adults, 3 kids and they did bring in a roll away bed.
it must have been very very cramped as the units are not large. they are about 2/3 the size of the lacabana 1 bedroom.
