    Renaissance ?s

This feel stupid to ask but can somebody explain the Renaissance to me or is there an in depth description somewhere? And bonus points to anyone that can find me a resort map that works. I cannot figure out the sections and what areas are adult only. We own at the surf club but I would not mind one day staying a couple extra nights at the Renaissance. Thanks

So if the Renaissance is a timeshare, why is it not part of Marriott Vacation Club?

    There are 2 in Aruba.
    1. Adults only Renaissance Marina Hotel. Just finished a big renovation. On the main drag, with a rooftop pool.
    2. Renaissance Ocean Suites. Children welcome here. Locaed at Seaport Marketplace area…set back, barely visible from the main st. Which has some timeshare units (kitchenette, table w 4 chairs, pullout queen sofa, king bed in the master bedroom) and some hotel suites which has what the timeshare units have minus the kitchenette.
    Currently undergoing a major renovation.

Both resorts have the perks of renaissance Island.

We are here now in a timeshare unit.

Marina Tower is on LG Smith Blvd, adults only
Ocean Suites are on the water, five stories all suites, no age restrictions.
both have access to Private Island via boat every 15 minutes.

Ocean suites even numbered rooms face the island, odd face the pool or ocean.
Rooms at ocean suites have four digits. All begin with 2, indicating ocean suites.
    Second number is the floor.
example: room 2337 is ocean suites, third floor, room 37 facing pool

Resort Layout Map for the Renaissance Ocean Suites?

    try clicking on the above

PS....we own at both the Surf and at Renaissance and love to go back and forth between the two. Sometimes we leave all of our things at the Surf, and take a two day (one night) "vacation" from the Surf and go to Renaissance.

No question is stupid littlejen. Everyone on Aruba.com forum are here to answer all questions. There are 2 Renaissance's both located in downtown Oranjestad. The Renaissance Marina Resort became adults only 7 years ago. Crystal Casino, L.G. Steakhouse, Aquarius Restaurant and BLUE Bar are located here. Shops are downstairs at Renaissance mall. It is a hotel room with no kitchen.

Renaissance Ocean Suites are about a block away across the street on the Marina side, next to Seaport Casino and the shops at Renaissance Seaport Marketplace. Units here are 1 bedroom units, an alley kitchen area, and living room with pull-out sofa. TV's are in both the bedroom and living room.
Thanks to CindyO I do have the resort layout of the Ocean Suites. PM me if you want the layout.

There is a golf cart that will take you between both resorts where you can use the facilities (pool, restaurants, etc). The water taxi stops at both resorts to take you to/from the private island, a 12 minute boat ride.

Is the renovation causing any problems for you?

The only inconvenience so far is the parking lot on building 2 side....there are approx 20 parking spaces lost due to the equipment and dumpsters

floors 4 and 5 in wing 2 closed and being worked on as I type. We can hear the hammering of bathroom destruction.
