Restaurant Reservations at the Tamarijn

I was wondering if the way to make reservations for dining still the same as in the past? We are staying at the tamarijn. Before we could sign up I believe 3 nights prior to when we wanted to make reservations (like the Red Parrot).

Yes, it is the same. Depending upon when you were there last, the system is now computerized. You will receive a paper "reservation". Make sure you bring it with you to your dinner, you will be asked for it.

Don't remember if it was our June or December visit. But one of those. We still had to go to the concierge to make the reservation each a.m. but it was computerized.

I don't recall seeing that when we were there in November, but I wasn't really looking either.

It's at least two years that we've recieved the printed reservation. Prior to that it was handwritten on a small card.

Alert: Keep your water shoes and/or flip-flops inside at night. In March during our two weeks, several guests had shoes taken from the patio during the evening. First time I was aware of this happening in 9 years at the resort. Must be shoeless people that swam ashore!

We met a family last June who had swim suits which were tied down, disappear from their patio.

I left my dive gear on the balcony and didn't have a problem. We usually leave our suits and shoes on the patio at night, I guess we'll be doing something different from now on.
