Room Safes at Holiday Inn

Wondering if anyone has had any problems with room safes at the HI? I would like to use it, but really hope they are "safe" to use!

Hi I am so jealous of all of you going soon to Aruba ( I am not going until June). I am stuck on Cape Cod in the rainly, wintery cold weather. I do have a question. I emailed the TAM requesting my block location, first floor and king size bed. How are they with accommodating such requests. I did receive an email back explaining they will do the best they can to accommodate, but will not be guanteed. What has anyone experienced with hotel accommodation requests?

Thanks for the input
Lisa

Yes, this weather really stinks, doesn't it? I think it's the damp wind that really gets to me!
