I went to the Tam on April 27 thru May 7.. The weather was good but not as hot as September. You could actually lay out all day and not feel bothered by the heat. In September your filling your water bottle up constantly while lying out. Or else you feel like you've had a heat stroke.. Im going on October 13 this time, I hope the weather is just as hot...

Looks like everyone had a good time.. Does anyone have pics of building #1900 of the beach???
Thanks Becky

types of beer

BostonLager,

I am guessing you like beer - so I am asking what type of beer is at the resort divi/tam? and what the local beer is like? I am an amstel drinker but my husband is a bud drinker but would drink heineken if it was available. Thank you.

I am not BostonLager, but I can tell you that the local beer is Balashi.

All beer at the Divi and Tamarijn is served on tap.

Balashi is always available, otherwise selctions may vary-
Miller Lite, Amstel, Heineken...

It's a nice, light, refreshing pilsner. Here is the description from their website.
Quote:
The taste of Balashi is the result
of a scientific approach towards
surveying the local taste. A panel
of local experts tasted different
categories of beer available both
in Aruba and in the region.

The results of this survey
were sent to the laboratory. The
world famous brewer Mr. Gerhard
Lindenhahn, who has over 50 Years
of experience, assisted our
Brew master Mr. Klaus Eckert, who
had successfully run the Kubuli
Brewery on the island of Dominica.
Together they prepared our secret
recipe, which has proven to be a
big winner.

The Arubans prefer their beer with
a deep golden color totally clear
and transparent, with a bitterness
which is soft to the tongue and the
nose, however with an aroma of fresh
hobs, a short aftertaste and an easy
foam. The combination should feel
fresh and smooth to the mouth when
cold served, perfect as refreshment
in Aruba’s hot climate.

Any recent photos of beach conditions? Especially in the area of 1200 - 1300?

Hi all,

My wife and I are going to the Tam on Friday for our honeymoon. We aren't real heavy drinkers and are looking for a more quiet room, I think I saw some suggestions for building 2200? Do you think it's too late to call and ask now? I wish I had found this forum months ago!

Thanks,
Mike

Send a message via Skype™ to Andrea J.
i thnk you should make that call

but from what i remember of the tamarijn, if there was noise from a sttel pan band or karaoke in the evenings it was pretty much over by 9 or 10 pm

any room in the 1500 block and higher would be just fine.

lisa and family usually stay in the 1300 bldg and that is quiet enough for them to sleep and her dh to do his work online and noisy/active enough for their dd young teen to be very well entertained and very close to ALL activities.

my suggestion is take any anything 1500 or higher and you will be PERFECT.
Happy Honeymooning and congratulations Mike to you and your bride.
Andrea
