Thank you both for your responses! I went ahead and asked the agent I booked with to request a 1st floor room in the 1500 block or higher.

"Buildings 11 – 14 least rocks (when we were there) 15 – 20 very rocky beach – and 21 plus few rocks."

The poster sent me photos of the beach from 1100 - 1300 and it looks every bit as good as it did in June.

I have read on another forum that YES it is re-opened and just fine.

Someone just sent me a photo of it taken last week. To me, it looks like it has a fresh paint job. Same colors, now just more vibrant! Let us know for sure when you arrive.
