Tam Beach Photos March 2010

Here's a few photos of the big surf and resulting beach.

Looking toward Divi from the Tam taken on March 8, 2010.

Resulting beach on March 12 looking from Sports Center toward the pool area. Had some seaweed for a few days but very tolerable. The waves came from the west and added 30-50 feet of beach depending upon the area of the resort.

Mimi walking the beach on 3-17-2010 in from of the 1100 building. Note beach has been groomed and is 100% white powder.

With the exception of the first two days, the beach from 1100-1300 was exceptional for the two weeks. Along the entire Tam frontage the only bldgs with rocks to cross were 1700-1800 with nice beach between the rocks and surf line. However, on March 20, (day we left) the surf was up again and the waves were coming from the Souteast. Although it hadn't yet started, this wave action in the past has caused erosion/beach loss.

Hope these photo's satisfy a small portion of your needs to be on the island.

We just got home last night. The winds and waves were kicking up the last few days. The Divi beach was holding its own. The Tam looked ok too, although we were only down there at night the last few days.

Awesome trip - weather was hot, although the winds were high the last few days. Trip report and pics coming soon. All I can say for now is I miss it already!!!
