Other than that, the Paparazzi Restaurant is wonderful, food and service excellent. The Ginger, also really nice, - we also enjoyed a couple of meals over at the Divi at the Blue Parrot.. again excellent all round. We figured out during our stay that a lot of people would take a slow stroll along the beach first thing, take in the view, and have breakfast at the Divi - theirs is the better buffet.

We did feel however, that the location, staff, and all other facilities at the Tam were out of this world, so happy to spend our annual leave there again next year. Where can you get that seaview right outside your bedroom door....!! The turquoise sea, white sands...

Thank you... Hey what block did you stay in??? Did you like the tam better then the dive??? Have any pictures of the hotel?? Oh well sorry for so many question. have a great one...

In the early stages of planning a trip. Will most likely have a ton of questions as the months tick away. One that jumps out right now is which dining options at Divi/Tam require reservations and which are walk-in?

thanks in advance.

Need reservations at Red Parrot, Ginger, Paparazzi, and Palm Grill. No reservations needed at the buffets at each resort.

i never had a problem getting reservations....if you call early enough........ one night we didn't make reservation and got in as well....just had to wait about an hour for a table which was okay because we got a drink and walked along the beach and pool and the time just flew by.... its not the kind of vacation you want to rush through and get over with...that's what they made disney for!!

I always put on 8 to 10 pounds when there, so how bad can the food be. a few items may not meet my taste buds, but that is personal thing. most food is good to great. Try the mango chicken in the new asian restaurant, Gingers, at the
Tamarijn. OOOHHHH Y-u-u-u-u-u-u-m-m-m-m-m-m-y-y-y-y-y-yyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and brick oven pizza at midnight-----to die for.

Thanks for the quick feedback. We're not even booked yet, but still very excited about the upcoming trip.

and i disagree...we loved the Divi much better. but did enjoy the Paparazzi at the Tam. we found the tam to be a bit too kid friendly. we went to look around one day and there were kids everywhere screaming! like i said before, i'll go to disney if i want that kind of torture! but like you said, every place has something you won't really like. the Divi was more on the adult side which is what we were looking for. the food to me was better at the Tam.... we ate there a lot during our stay....just loved that escagot in the pastry puff!! i will agree though that some of the staff at the Divi were not as friendly as the "happy island" says it is! until of course we gave our bartender a very hefty tip.....after that he was our best friend!!

Question

One more food question....

Do the menus stay the same from day-to-day, or do they change on a nightly basis as they would on a cruise ship? Would sure make planning several days in advance easier if they remained the same. Then again, variety would be nice if we tend to favor one place over the others during our stay.

Links to menus are posted below and menus are the same daily. Buffet dinner themes change nightly. And are not the same night at both resorts. In other words, Mexican night at the Divi is not the same as Mexican night at the Tamarijn.
