    Tamarijn's beach area

    Hey folks.
Is there anyone on this board that's actually in Aruba at the Tamarijn right now?
I'm hearing all manner of horror story about the beach there, and I'd prefer to actually
see something as opposed to hearing it....

Stories say it's pretty nasty, as in nothing but rock from the Bunker bar north to the Pizza bar area...

    'zat true?

    4 months, 3 days, 1 hour....
    -10C right now.
    Hurry May 17th!!!!

Seems that Mother Nature over the holidays moved the sand over to the ABC and CDM section.
As you well know Michael , the sand and Mother Nature act very mysteriously.

I've been looking for photos too, it wasn't great when we were there in June………saw a pic on trip advisor of a wooden barricade on the beach ith a quote of 'keeping the waves in the sea' which doesn't sound too good!

We were at divi over thanksgiving. The beach from just past the volleyball area to the bunker bar was nothing but rock. Bunker bar to old Resort was fine but terribly dirty. We walk a lot with the kids looking for sea glass.

I would be unhappy with staying at Tamarijn due to the beach situation. Totally love the whole place though. Best place EVER to take kids for a vacation. No stress!!!

    Hope it gets fixed soon.

I took a lot of pics of the situation, I will try and upload them for u. I walked from the 2500 block to 1100 block, thats the entire Tamarijn and I took pics of each building.

From 2500 to the bunker bar, the beach is back, I watched as they brought sand in. From the bunker bar to the pool area, horrible, big massive rocks piled high. Rocks in front of 1300 to 1200, but with spots to get in the sea. We stayed in the best building 1100, closest to the Divi. No rocks just the same beautiful Beach as the divi then the last 3 days rocks appeared just to the left of us covering half of block 1100. It appeared that the rocks were under the sand several feet down and the sea washed away the sand causing a drop of one foot thus exposing the rocks.

We left to come home on Jan 4th as planned. Wish u could upload picks on the mobile site. Home PC is acting up and I am very busy in work, on the weekend I will try for ya.

Looking forward to seeing your photos Michael. We are heading there in March and I've been a little worried about the beach too. Not that I would cancel or anything.....lol But I would like to see what it looked like when you were there.
