    Tipping resort workers

Just wondering....what is considered the 'norm' for tipping the resort workers such as the chamber maids, bartenders, etc. Last year we made sure to tip everyone, but got to wondering, before we arrive there this year, just how much is considered appropriate?
    Next Aruba trip in

    appropriate is very subjective.
ex: paul and i tip approx $5 per day for housekeeping.
we used to give half on the 2nd day and the remainder on the day we left.
now, we leave it out every day as sometimes, the housekeepers seem to have no real set schedule.
    bartenders.........lots of places add in 15% .

Agree with Andrea J, tip the housekeeper daily... if you tip at the end of the stay, it could be the day she is off. Bartenders always get a dollar per drink from us when the 15% service charge is on the bill... never want to wait for the bartender when it's happy hour. BTW, we do tip a little stronger at happy hour. Bellman is usually 5-10 dollars.
