The walk from Marriott Aruba Resort & Casino to the Surf Club???

Hey Everyone,

I am going to be staying at the Marriott Aruba Surf Club next week but will be arriving a day earlier than my reservation. I was going to just book a single night at the Surf Club but its about $65 more than what I can get at the Aruba Resort & Stellaris Casino. From what I understand, they are next door to each other but that doesnt necessarily mean they are close My question is, is it an easy walk next door to the Surf club (w/ luggage) or is it just worth the $65 to stay at the same resort?

We're trying to penny pinch a bit on this trip (if it's convenient).

The Surf Club and Marriott Resort are separated by the Ocean Club Vacation Club.

Why not just spend $5 in taxi fare to switch from one to the other.

It's just that we're going to have a number of bags and didnt want to go through a lot of trouble if its going to be a pain. If it's not right next door, i'm not going to want to load up a cab and unload for a 2 min trip. Not a big deal. I'll just spend the $65 extra bucks to stay in the same resort.

If you didn't want to spend the $5 for the taxi, the $65 for the extra night was what I was thinking. Good choice.

hehe, i guess that makes me sound a lil foolish. Although I am definitely trying to save some $, I guess i'm more concerned with the convenience factor than anything. I just dont want to spend too much time on the transition. Thanks Arubalisa!

Time is money and time in Aruba should be spent on the beach.

During our honeymoon we switched from the Playa Linda to Hyatt which are next door to one another. Dh insisted we could "wheel" our suitcases. I forget how many, but we had over 20 nights (Fl., Bahamas & Aruba) of clothes. Dh was smart and listened to his new wife, called a taxi and we checked in at 9 a.m. and were on the beach shortly afterwards.

If you are staying at the hotel they will bring your bags to the Surf Club all you have to do is get on the shuttle and it takes you there. No charge just a tip for the bell boy.

If they won't move them for you - there is a golf cart type shuttle that runs between all 3 Marriott properties from 8 am - 2 am. We are here now and use it everyday between the 3 properties..
