watershoes at the Divi

Do we need to use watershoes in the water outside Divi.
Are there any sharp rocks or anything.
Do not want to bring them along if there is no need for them.
Is it easy to travel to the capital for some shopping.
Does the hotel provide shuttles.

On some beaches - we use swim shoes. You might find them handy depending on if you are going to be really exploring all the beaches. I just hate touching
the bottom myself from swimming at the NJ shore and getting crab bites

There is an excellent and affordable public transport system that can
easily take you into town and other places. Your resort will have
the schedule available.

Thumbs up

>>> "Do not want to bring them along if there is no need for them"
---- Always bring mine. Not for the beach or water but great for walking around the resort, going for a beer, sitting at beach bar, going for lunch, .......
>>> "Does the hotel provide shuttles."
---- Do not think any of the resorts in Aruba provide shuttles.
However: The Divi's do have a few large type golf carts that will take you between the Divi resorts all around their golf course area and to the Alhambra Casino, and to restaurants in that general area. When you want to go back to your Divi Resort ask where you are to call for a Divi golf type cart.
>>> "Is it easy to travel to the capital for some shopping."
----- Yes, buses go direct. However: 4 can ride for the price of 1 in a cab so not expensive that way.

Water Shoes

I really detest water shoes because I think they are "not attractive" but I bought them after about two days at the Tamarijn . . . not because rocks were sharp or anything bad in the water, but I walked a lot on the beach just looking for shells, etc., and, after a while, the bottoms of my feet were just becoming raw. I bought a pair of water shoes at the hotel (the "prettiest" ones I could find" and wore them every day after that!!! I say pack them!

Mine are Teva. I like to exercise in the pool and don't want my feet to get raw.

For us it is like bug spray. Bring them with you and you more than likely will not need them. If you do not bring them with you, you will need them.
