    Westin feedback

Looking at some last minute specials online and it looks like the Westin is one of the options for this trip. I didn't see anything specific on the first couple pages in the hotel section, any feedback on the rooms, hotel itself and the beach there would be appreciated.

The pool is not contemporary but nice nonetheless.

The beach can be extremely windy at times. This time of year that should not be an issue.

If you like Palm Beach it is a good choice.

Thanks, I saw those. I was just hoping for something a little more current.

Chadd....CindyO and I (with daughters) stayed there for a few days in December of 2009, extending our trip after a week at Renaissance. A friend of mine (at my advice) did the same in January of this year.

We both felt the same....the beach was not the greatest, but it certainly was more than adequate. The hotel was nice, staff was great. We had a weather issue and they handled our need for an extra day with courtesy (and, at the same discounted rate as our previous days).

I rate it a "best buy" if you want the Palm Beach area.

PS - Love Blossom's Restaurant in the hotel.

Have stayed at Westin absloutely wonderful. Staff exceptional!! You'll like it there. If we went back to Aruba we would stay there but we bought at the Marriott Surf club, but visit Westin every time we are there.

Thanks, we ended up booking it. For $245 a night, it was impossible to turn down. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't a known issue with the hotel.

I bet this was a really nice hotel at one point. It has a ton of potential but our experience here has been one that we would not like to repeat. Inoperative phones, water damage in numerous places, everything in the room feels wet constantly, really bad entertainment during happy hour, etc... I can see why they have to unload rooms on priceline now.
