1 bedroom Platinum

Almost the same...

2012: $1,069.92

2011: $1,049.57
2010: $1,089.40 (without the SA fee)
2009: $1,257.04 (without the SA fee)

You have to remember that in 2009 the cost of fuel (electricity and water) was higher...
In 2009 & 2010 there were S.A. (when they have fully redone the resort) but it was on top of those maintenance fees...

Marriott Vacation Club and the board of directors have done a nice job of keeping the fees pretty static the past few years in the Surf Club too, even though they have replaced much of the soft goods (bedding, drapes) in the Lighthouse Tower (1st building nearest the beach) last year. They have built good reserve funds to handle this depsite sky high energy costs, etc. We're really pleased with our experience the past 5 years with the Surf Club as they have maintained and improved the property (new adult pool, bigger fitness center, etc) without increasing our fees.
