Hello,

Arrived Wed and the weather is perfect. There were a few rain bursts but didn't last long. Many flies in the a.m. but gone early morning. Love the Starbucks over by Seaport Mall and in Renessaince Mall.

Unfortunately couldn't share positive info about our first 4 days at the Aruban. Half the place is open, water pressure is very low (sometimes turned off during the day), the place is looking very tired. Needs much improvements.
I left my Ipod and headphones in the fitness center. Realized it after 5 minutes and went back. It was gone. I was the only one in there. When I asked if it was turned in...nothing. I talked the the front desk, security and maintenance everyday. When I saw a securtiy camera near the entrance to the fitness center, maybe catching the person walking in after I walked out, I asked if they could rewind. "Not possible" I was told. Frustrating as I believe it was taken by an employee. Employees were the only other people in the fitness center.

Also after checking out I was told my security deposit would take 7-10 days to credit to my account. I couldn't even get an invoice showing the credit until I persisited, which still doesn't show complete credit.

Warning for those thinking of staying at the Aruban, it has a long way to go to get it to where it once was...

At La Cabana now and everyhting is wonderful.

sorry to hear of the loss.
that is disgusting.

your comments regarding the security deposit, the tired look and water pressure are things that have been on their list to fix.........now with competent, honest and capable management (tropicana) things "will" get better.

you need to get onto the aruban's message board and get the word out about the "thievery".
