Interval exchanges/requests for Christmas

i have reservations using bluegreen points for christmas (11 nights) at lacabana brc.

bluegreen could not get us into a 1 bedroom.
therefor we are in a studio for the duration.

so i have stuff banked with interval and put in a request for a 1 bedroom dec 20 - 27 thur - thur and then will use the bluegreen point studio for the remaining 4 nights

do any of you think that there is a chance that a one bedroom unit will become available thru interval?
i have numerous good resorts banked with them for exchange (4 weeks in january lacabana brc 1 bdrm)

just wondering if it is worth my while to get my hopes up or just be happy with the studio unit.

Andrea, I have no idea how II works, but people do have emergencies and have to cancel at the last minute. I know from experience as somone who had a dd come down with chicken pox which she in turn gave to me last Thanksgiving. Delta was king enough to give us a credit for our plane tickets (only NJ, no biggie ).

There are still approximately 80 days for things to go wrong for a lot of people in order for a one bedroom unit to open up for the 3 of you. Also, as an owner, wouldn't you get priority?

I have dealt with II for over 15 years. I would not count on a 1 bedroom over Christmas. Your best chance will be in Dec. if someone backs out the last minute. If you can hold out until the week before, you might get lucky. Good luck. Kent

The Studio at the BRC is very big and much brighter than the one bedroom. If there is only two of you, I prefer the studio. The kitchen is very bright.

in reality the 1 bedroom and the studio are the same square footage
paul and i can tolerate the studio unit when it is just the 2 of us

but, our son will be coming with us for a few days after his finals and before sea semester so the studio will be very difficult for the 3 of us

our past few stays at lacabana brc we have been in the 1 bedroom and i do love being able to get up early, shut the bedroom door, make my coffee and toast and sit in the living room or the patio. all without awakening paul.

interval did call me today for a 1 bedroom, but it was for the 22 - 29
i am going to continue to wait out the request for the 20 - 27

You are psyched!!!

Woo hoo! I am so happy when great things happen to nice people.

Speaking of your son...I have an 18 year old niece who is convinced she will be the only person her age on the entire island.
