Can anyone tell me what renovations they are doing to LaCabana Beach and Racquet Club? We are coming in Sept with friends who have never been to Aruba and are hoping it is not too much at that time. However I am hoping they are undating the rooms.

not sure what renovations they are doing, but do know they've ben bought and name has been changed to the aruban.

La Cabana Villas is now The Aruban Resort & Casino. La Cabana Beach & Racquet is still the same.

Fist they changed the name of the Villas not the Beach and Racquet Club

They are completely gutting every room and doing a complete renovation of the rooms. Moving the kitchen areas in the 1 bedrooms, replacing all time and AC systems, no more jacuzzis, huge showers instead. They have it all planned and are going in sections. If you look on their website you will be able to tell how close you are to the section being renovated. It looks like they really planned it well so that it would not disrupt anyone. The renovations look absolutely gorgeous and I have heard that the pitures do not do them justice. They are scheduled to start in May. Take a look at the model rooms when you are there.
