Locking the lock off at the Surfclub

I know if I only take either the villa or the guestroom (e.g. - 1 wk in January and 1 wk in February), Marriott charges an addl $80 to split it up. My question is... If I take the entire 2 bedroom in 1 week, can I still lock it off and get separate room keys? If so, will there be a charge? I only ask because my sister and her bf are going with us in Dec and I am letting them have the guest room, but for privacy we would like to lock it off and have separate keys.

I call Marriott and they stated... "I think that should be ok... I don't see why not..." It wasn't a very definitive answer. Has anyone ever done this?

    thanks!

Well they'll have programmed keys for the door. You can just lock your side of it.
    won't they be dropping in?

We've had guests in the lock-off often. No problems. At check in, tell them the names of the guests and the desk will arrange for them to have separate keys and take a copy of their credit card so any charges they make are charged to the lock-off.
