Thumbs down Ripped off by ITR Realty

I tried to buy a Timeshare last year through Johnnie Paesch and ITR Realty and never got the ownership papers. When I tried to get the money back the owner, Kenneth Faustin, had already spent it. Avoid using this company at any cost. If you look to buy a timeshare, buy directly from the resort or the seller.

we bought all of our timeshares from ITR and never had anything but exceptional service.
all units were at lacabana.
purchases made in 1998, 99, 2000.

since then.........all units deposited into Bluegreen and have been quite content ever since using the bluegreen point options.

re: the paperwork........it can take as long as 4 months to get the whole thing processed. when did your process begin?

My experience was the same as Andrea's in 2001. However, I did try and deal with ITR again in 2007 and the named realtor did not return calls or e-mails when I tried to negotiate a price for a property....ending our relationship.

Are your calls/e-mails being ignored?

Yes, he's made numerous promises to pay or make payments and then fell off the planet. This deal should have been complete in February of 2009. He confirmed late last year that the unit was no longer available. I believe he used my money for something and then missed the window of opportunity to buy the unit.

is there anyone with corporate remax you can deal with or have you already gone that route?

They are no longer affiliated with ReMax, something about not paying commissions...

Buying a Timeshare

If you plan to purchase a timeshare, I have found it best to buy directly from the owner. Closing the deal is not rocket science. Yes, there is a leap of faith in sending certified funds to the seller, however if you purchase from someone on this message board, they may furnish you with references.

ITR Realty in Aruba

In June of 2010 I posted a message on this bulletin board regarding my dealings with ITR Realty, Kenneth Faustin and Johnny Paesch in Aruba, warning timeshare buyers not to do business with them. Since this posting, the matter of my timeshare purchase with ITR has been resolved and I want to state that I regret any harm my post has caused to either of these gentlemen or to their company. I understand and respect that ITR Realty, through these gentlemen, has been re-selling timeshares on Aruba since 1997 and has sold and transferred over 2500 timeshares units. This fact was what had attracted me to them to begin with and I wish them all the best for the future.
