WANTED to rent Week 41

We're looking for Week 41, 10/11-10/15/09. We'd prefer a one or two bedroom in the low rises. We've stayed at Costa Linda, Aruba Beach Club and Casa Del Mar. It's still low season and we can get some reasonable rates online, so please don't e-mail me if you're looking to double your annual fees. We can pay less through the timeshare company directly. Looking to pay no more than $125 or $150/night, depending on the accommodations. Please e-mail me directly at luv2teech7@aol.com.

week 41

I'm just curious why you don't think an owner is entitled to make money on their investment. Costa Linda's maintenance fees will be $790 this year. If someone only charged you $100 they would only make $310 above their maintenance. Don't you feel they should be entitled to some additional income since they are the ones who made the initial investment of $10,000 or more to purchase the week? If you bought a rental property, would you expect your tenants to only cover your utilities and expenses or would you expect to make a profit?

I just don't understand the way 'non timeshare owners' think.

You misunderstand. I'm simply trying to avoid wasting the time of timeshare owners who, as you've mentioned, are using the property as an investment. Many owners simply aren't able to use their weeks and want to rent them out. Those people are my target audience. There are plenty of people wiling to rent to me at the price I've mentioned, which is why I've never purchased myself.....if that upsets you, then simply find others to rent to--people willing to pay your asking price! If you are offended by that, perhaps it's time for you to sell your "investment property" and rent from others. There is an extensive list of people willing to rent to us. You should try it.

I'm with you,I rented my week 41(casa del mar) out this year, just for the annual fee, My family can't stay the extra week this year, so I would much rather rent it and let someone else enjoy ARUBA ,hopefully next year I can stay for the full 2 weeks (if my family can't stay, I'm thinking I'll stay myself!!!!! hope you find nice people to rent from and not looking to make the big $$$$$.... from a family hooked on aruba..

Well, if you need someone to stay with you next year....I love to go as often as possible. I stayed over Memorial Day weekend and President's Day weekend, too. Call me greedy, but I've never had to consider purchasing my own time as there have always been people willing to rent to me at a reasonable rate.
