    From above link:

Today's transaction does not include Tropicana’s Aruba assets, which will be disposed of as a condition to closing.

i read the article. i always read the article b4 i post a link.
    thanks

that is why i asked "what does this mean for the Tropicana Aruba property?"
Key words "disposed of" I guess that means sell ?
It took a long time for Carl Icahn to buy the Trop in Aruba and after almost 9 yrs the place is turning around and the renovation is good, but slow.

The way I read it: The Tropinana in Aruba was not part of the deal and will be closed.
(I guess until someone will buy it? And renovate it? Just my guess.)

    Here is another article:

    That's how I'd take it.

    Another article states the following:

Icahn Enterprises said in its statement that the deal did not include Tropicana’s Aruba casino and resort in the Caribbean, which would be sold separately as a condition of closing the deal.

    And:

Assets to be acquired are Tropicana Atlantic City, Tropicana Evansville, Lumiere Place, Tropicana Laughlin, Trop Casino Greenville and The Belle of Baton Rouge. The combined properties include 350,000 casino square feet, 7,416 slot machines, 237 table games and 4,993 hotel rooms. The sale does not include the Tropicana Aruba Resort and Casino, which will be sold separately.

The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to close by the end of 2018.

    Some more:

ldorado said the Tropicana properties are in excellent shape, and does not anticipate needing to invest significant money into them. It said the Aruba property was not included in the sale because Eldorado does not believe it would be worth acquiring.

some articles say it will be sold separately, others say it will be closed. Guess we'll just have to wait & see.

Last night i received numerous texts and FB messages from Trop timeshare owners.......they have not heard anything other than what they have read here and on other sites.

The Trop has had a troubled past.
They started out as Lacabana Villas/Suites (we were owners then, but sold in 2002), then around 2003 or 2004 The Lacabana Suites/Villas was divorced from Lacabana due to financial woes......the Aruban was born.
That situation was a nightmare from the getgo and the Aruban management closed up without notice in 2008 or 2009 . With the help of the Aruban government the place reopened and was sold to the Carl Icahn group and became one of the Tropicana hotels casinos.

The people who own there and who work there need stability.

The whole situation with the Trop is now just sad and frustrating.
