Cliff Condos is between Divi Phoenix and Amsterdam Manor. Last time I was there, there was no one in the sales office (no car outside).

When we were there in Sept. and drove by it, it looked "dead in the water". I'm guessing with the current economy, all future development/financing, etc. will be at a standstill for quite some time.

I agree.

Still 'just sitting there' with every other place.

They only built the wall a long time ago and then everything stopped.
Will be interesting to see what happens to some of these developments
and what the new government's position will be for building. Before
the election, overbuilding was a big issue.

The project by the port has been bankrupt for some time now too -
no progress on that either. It also stands empty.

re: development
i would have loved to see the old bushiri property be brought back to life.
not necessarily using the same structure (which is now in such BAD shape).
that area near the port has so much potential and the revitalization of that area imo would have been a good thing.

and was there talk awhile back about relocating the container ship terminal?
i haven't heard anything about that in a long time.

It was my understanding that a company (spanish or italian?) company
had bought it but was not going to do anything until the container
area was moved. Then there was some statements I saw on
TV (in english!) by Rob Smith that there were concerns about
the cost of the move and the additional shipping costs that would
have to be 'passed' on in shipping fees that would not be
good for the island since everything is shipped in here.

So I it's at a 'stalemate' for now.
