Students looking for a deal close to the Palm Beach action

Hey everyone,

It's going to be our first time in Aruba. There will be 4 of us. Most of our vacation will be spent in Curacao, but we will be spending Christmas in Aruba (Dec. 24-28). We have been looking for places to stay near all the nightlife.

We ruled out beachfront hotels in Palm Beach because of the prices and downtown Oranjestad because we thought it might be too much of a hassle to commute into palm beach during the day and at night for some clubbing. Should we reconsider?

Tried everything and this is what we've come up with:

Pauline's Apartments - No Availability
Aruba Beach Villas - A little on the expensive side for what you get?
Aruba Blue Village Suites - Not sure about this location.
Coconut Inn - Mixed reviews so we are a little uneasy about it. Also, location?
Del Rey Apartments - No Availability
Oceanview Apartments - Never Responded
Sasaki Apartments - No Availability
Sunflower Villas - No Availability
Sunset Beach Studios - No Availability

Any other suggestions? Open to anything really.

reconsider.
the bus ride back and forth from o'stad to palm beach is less than $3 (US dollars)

at this very late date, imo you will be lucky to get any accommodations.

have you tried TROPICANA aka the ARUBAN timeshare resort ?

Aruba Beach Villas--easy beach and bus access. If they have rooms at X-mas grab them.
Aruba Blue Village Suites-- in the middle of a residential area next a restaurant and a couple of miles from the beach. tough place to stay with no car and you'd have to walk some to the bus stop.
Coconut Inn--never heard of the place so I can't help you with this one
