Villa rental agent quarantee

When renting a villa be sure the rental agents guarantee that what is listed in the web site is what you get. In a vecent rental we had both minor and major defects. Some items that were to be supplied were not available. Minor ones were no alarm clock or lack of toilet paper. Major ones were the security system was not working along with no ac in the living room. I felt we should have been advised of the major defects and given the opportunity to change locations. Hot water was also listed in the web site, but there wa none

Web site of the owner/rental agent is what you look at to see what you are paying for . For anyone to list amenities that are not supplied is false advertising. In our recent rental we founnd minor and major faufts. Major ones were that the villa had hot water and there was none. The web site stated the villa had a security system and it had none. Most important of all was there was no air conditioning in the living room. The web site listed air conditioning. We should have been advised of these defects when we rented and given the opportunity to make changes, When you arrive it is to late, you cant go across the street to another location. Name of owner.rental agent is withheld. Get a guarantee in writing that if something is wrong it will be fixed or other arrangements made.

Did the property manager attempt to rectify the issues? Do you have a link to the website? I would also advise you to post a review listing your concerns on their website and on Homeaway, VRBO, Trip Advisor, if they are listed.

Regards,

They had known about the problems before we rented and made no attempts to correct before or while we were thereI recently received a call from the general manager advisinf that the hot water andair conditioning problems had been fixed/ Looks like they fixed the security ststem problem by removing it from the web site. Correcting the faults after the fact is no help to me. Never was an offer for compensation made to me. I like casa de aruba. but I would have to deal with the same management company. I don't think listing my concerns on the sites you mentioned is going to do me any good. It all boils down to the owner not wanting to spend money to fix the problems.
