Hostel in Aruba

Hello,

when you are a visitor who is in search for a hostel
(there is none at the moment in Aruba)
I'm walking with the idea to open a Hostel on the island of Aruba and am in research if there is enough demand for one in Aruba.

I've traveled a lot so I know that this Island is in Need for a Hostel. The past couple of years (7) I've been living here and it's a good thing to have something for the youth I think.

Please Leave me you're message if you're ever planning on coming to the island and thinking it would be great to have a cheap stay at a beautiful house for a good backpackers price.

not sure if you would get the amount of people you would need to make it a success. not because it's not a good idea, but because it is not a cheap island to get to.....and since it is not cheap, most people I think would come already having a reservation for one of the hotels with or without an all inclusive package....
Although that is just my opinion, and that doesn't really count for much since I never stayed at a hostel....(only watched the scary version on tv....LOL)

Wat een interessant idee! Ik weet alleen niet of het een goed (succesvol) idee kan zijn. Vanuit Nederlands (of europees-, de afstand en vliegprijzen zullen ongeveer gelijk zijn) perspectief kan ik alleen maar zeggen dat het vrijwel altijd goedkoper is ticket en verblijf in een pakket te boeken, zoals danadog56 in haar post ook al aangaf.

Dus moet je jezelf op een bijzondere manier kunnen onderscheiden van de rest. Aruba is misschien ook niet echt een eiland voor de doorsnee hostel bezoeker, voor zover die bestaat.

Zelf heb ik ook in heel veel hostels op diverse continenten gezeten, maar de doelgroep die je daar vindt wijkt toch wel flink af van de doorsnee toerist op Aruba.

Aruba gaat meer om luxe en comfort met partner en/of familie. Ultiem relaxen. Een hostel sluit hier niet echt bij aan. Maar misschien heb je wel een bijzonder idee wat mensen heel erg aanspreekt. Wanneer je je richt op de jeugd dan moet je niet vergeten dat Aruba relatief duur is.

Mocht je je willen richten op stagiairs of mensen die voor langere tijd op het eiland verblijven, dan ben ik erg benieuwd hoe je de concurrentie aan wil gaan met bijvoorbeeld Perle d'Or...
