4th of July plans...any good ones out there?

Our 4th plans have been set for some time. PSYCHED !!!!
We have 6 tickets to the Red Sox game at Fenway, the kids will each take a friend, then we'll walk around Boston, eat dinner somewhere, and then take in the Fireworks/concert at the Hatch Shell. Toby Keith is the guest singer this year...I think the girls and their friends will hit Havard Square, their fav cupcake place is there, and then putter around by themselves and eventually catch up with us.
Its suppost to be be crazy hot, but we'll all have to deal with it. We usually park at Rob's company's parking garage in Cambridge, and T it over to Fenway.
Looking forward to a nice, fun day, with the girls and their friends.

How 'bout you???

your plans sound COOL.
We plan on purchasing a high powered rifle and going on alligator hunt

seriously, tomorrow morning early we are going to the hard rock casino in tampa. got a "welcome" letter from them as i registered for promotions. the promotion place gave paul and i each $90 of free play on slot machines and $10 off the buffet restaurant.

sunday, we will participate in the 4th bbq at the pool/clubhouse and probably eat too much food and drink beer to excess. beer goes down so easy when it is hot and humid but it is sometimes just too much. maybe frozen margaritas instead?

monday....repeat of sunday, and paul and some of the neighbors have been accumulating their own little fireworks arsenal (fireworks legal in fla) and they will undoubtedly combine forces and light off all of their fireworks on monday night.......at least that is what they were planning as of yesterday.

do most men get their jollies by playing with exp;osives and matches

happy independence day to all americans.

I have an exciting 4th of July weekend. BBQ's and partying with friends in NJ, town fireworks display on Sunday night, and an 8:30am flight from Newark to Aruba on Monday. On the beach at the Surf Club by 3pm if all goes on schedule!!

So I get to enjoy the weekend here for 2 days and then spend the week on Palm Beach- life is good.

They are legal in RI now...Rob proudly came home with his asst display box of all kinds of little goodies. However, I think the state police in RI haven't figured out exactly what items are legal and what aren't. Just the other day a man got arrested for setting off fireworks in a hotel room, the bill had passed the statehouse shortly b4, so they weren't sure whether to arrest the guy for illegal fireworks and/or arrest him for the fire...go figure??

Cool Summertime in Georgia where the living is easy?

In a town where the DAILY newspaper publishes only 4 days per week , our fireworks display is tonight, the 2nd.

Maybe they will delay them until tomorrow, but will that interfere with the turtle race. The bigee tomorrow is the steam engine parade. Followed of course by the turtle race! The winner receives $50.

From the paper, "The forecast from the National Weather Service calls for sunny skies and daytime high temperatures near 90 degrees, with overnight lows in the 70s, and little chance of rain through Monday." FWIW, is has been raining steadily since 9:30 a.m. to total 1/2 inch of rain thus far...

After re-reading the above, perhaps it should have just been posted under HUMOR (no profanity PG13 )

We are mourning that our Aruba trip has ended. Arrived home last night and we are heading to Lake Winni in NH within the hour - glad we packed for this before we left!

NH weather looks great - not quite Aruba hot, but at least it is sunny, we will take that!

Oh....forgot, planning our 12th trip back to Aruba too! Trying to convince my lovely husband to take me in November, I may have to settle for May 2011!
