    After Christmas "downer"

    We all need Aruba

Some more than others......especially if you live where it is cold and miserable.

The temps have dropped like a rock since yesterday and we'll be down to single digits by the end of the week. The 21st can't come soon enough.

Agree, temps in the teens but also very windy and icy here in NH. We arrive in Paradise on the 17th and have two weeks to warm up!

I think a lot of us here in New England have been spoiled so far this winter but it finally arrived! I can handle to cold but walk like a duck on this awful ice around here. Stay warm everyone!

Yes it is cold here in the Boston area and throughout New England but what else would you expect? We live here for the four great seasons all special in their own way. Spring with blooming daffodils, wild flowers and Opening Day at Fenway. Summer for grilling, going to the local beaches and watches the Pops on the Esplanade. Fall will bring brilliant colors on the maples and oaks especially in the mountains and valleys of Vermont and New Hampshire as the Patriots go for another title and winter when we have snow, cold and the lighting of the Christmas Tree in the Common after receiving it from Halifax as a gift. Some time during one of the seasons or maybe even two we find the time to slip away to the beautiful beaches and sunsets of Aruba. I love living in New England and not so sure I would not take Aruba for granted if I lived there year round. Hang in there, spring is coming and before you know it truck day will be here soon with pitchers and catchers reporting soon for spring training.

Happy New Year and enjoy whatever and whoever you have by your side.

Great points.... except for the winter stuff! I just tolerate it.... it's the sharp side of the double edged sword... the other side is the three wonderful seasons!

It just hit us here in Oklahoma. High of 27f tomorrow and wind chills tomorrow night in the single digits. Seven day forecast does not look pretty.

Hi all y'all New England Forum Members. Just kidding all Forum Members. This morning, here in N. Virginia, we awoke to our first snow...probably 3-4" and a call from my doctor's office cancelling my appointment because of the bad roads. Welcome Winter! :'
( It is very cold and windy. Hope all my friends visiting/living in Aruba are not to envious with our being so cold..and y'all suffering from the heat and trade winds. :'( God bless you all! Happy New Year.
