    allegiant airlines

we are "supposed" to head to New England tomorrow to visit son, wife and grandson.
our grandson's 1st birthday is next week.

we booked on Allegiant due to them having a convenient arrival airport...portsmouth nh, which is 15 miles from my son's house at york harbor, maine.

well, Allegiant nickel and dimed us to death which i fully accepted, although unhappy about it, but including the rental car for us the price was still acceptable. again, the proximity to york was the deciding factor. we did not want to deal with logan/boston, portland flights and manchester flights were priced higher and we wanted to save our swa points for aruba. bottom line is we chose Allegiant.

now, Allegiant is in the news, and not in a good way.
we are leery/apprehensive/scared about stepping on that plane tomorrow morning

we are praying that they cancel our flight, so i can use the refund and book on another airline!

I'll say a prayer that they cancel as well. It's no fun to travel when you are feeling leary about the airline!

    Andrea,
What did you hear bad? I've flown them from Concord/Charlotte to Tampa to see my daughter a few times. $120 round trip is a great deal. They are no frills but I've never had a problem. I've got a ticket for her wedding shower in August. Hoping it'll be ok!

What I saw in the news was that they have had 2 emergency landings in one month. It was also mentioned that pilots had complained of mechanical issues
