    yup audio editions are expensive.
i get some audiobooks from itunes if i am desperate.
i get some from a friend that shares some mp3downloads of his.
    some from a library.

we are pretty well set on the ipad decision so paul can get his newspapers on the hand held device....and have all of the apps and other stuff the ipad offers.

while in aruba, sitting at the pool at caribbean palm and at the tropicana, the majority of folks that were reading were using either a KINDLE or an Ipad.

We were truly amazed how inexpensive subscriptions are on the Kindle.

Tried the Kindle in bright sunshine today and was very pleasantly surprised at how easy the screen was to read. There was no glare at all and great contrast.

The warmest day here since November 25, but in my mind it was more like May 25.

Not sure if anyone has seen this but you will be able to Lend Books from the Kindle to other Kindle Users for free. (well some books you wont be able to) There are limitations, but the feature will be available if it is not already. I have to check to see how to get my wife's set up for that. Unless it is just an Amazon setting.

You can already share books easily.

    Separate accounts
You can loan a book from your account for two weeks only once per book and only to one other kindle.
    Go to your account
    manage your Kindle
    your list of books
    click on the book
there will be a check box if the publisher has approved sharing the book

Multiple kindles can share books unlimited if the books are all registered to the account.

If you have two kindles under separate accounts on the home page you can de-registered the kindle and re-register it under one account.

That one account would be the one where you would be making all of your purchases or selections.

He has already had two requests for books in a couple of hours. The more books you lend, the more credit you earn. I wish I read as much as dh. I am only about 20% through my book I've been reading a month.
