Aruba

I was driving from Miami to Tampa and dead in the middle of the state is a small trailer park called ARUBA TP. I had to pull in and noticed that all the trailers had Aruba stickers or old licence plates on them. Some of the folks there had been to Aruba 20+ times.

Crazy huh?

be well

Sounds like you'll have a little taste of Aruba in your own back yard, tavilas. Lucky you!

My husband and I were the last week actually! We were in the city looking for another bar for a charity even my husband, FFgoo, was participating in and we drove past Aruba Steves. I couldn't believe it!

After the event, we went to Aruba Steves for a drink. We wondered if it was the same owner as Iguana Joes since my husband remembered talking with him in Aruba a few years back, while we were drinking at the bar .

We were a bit bummed that they didn't have Balashi or Amstel Brights to make the experience more authentic, but I suppose it's probably next to impossible to get them in the states. We were there on Wendsday night so it was pretty quiet. Our friends ordered the jerk chicken pizza and it was served cold, bummer. My husband ordered the chicken skewers and he said they tasted very good. I was content with my Landshark. There is a jukebox so Dave Matthews was playing which I like, but something more "islandy" would have made the experience.

All in all, would we go back, if we were in Providence already on a Friday or Saturday night, probably, but we live about 1 hr south in CT so we probably wouldn't make a special trip, especially since we have a baby now.
