Get ready, get set, go _ to sleep for another hour

WASHINGTON (AP) — It's time to fall back. Standard time returns at 2 a.m. Sunday, so set your clocks back an hour before going to sleep Saturday night.

The change means most Americans will get an extra hour of rest, but those working overnight shifts might toil an hour longer. It also means some will forget to change their clocks, and show up early for church or other events on Sunday.

Daylight time returns in March.

The time change doesn't apply in Arizona, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands.

Aruba does NOT change their clocks so for the winter will be one hour AHEAD of Eastern Standard Time.

Comment from Jay Leno (I think)....with the fall back on time...we have to suffer 1 more hour of the campaign !!!!!

my mom was a collector of clocks.......mostly antique or waterford.
when mom passed, i got most of her clocks.
today 11/4 /08 at 2 pm i finally finished "falling back" with all of her clocks in my living room and dining room. (14)

LOL, I will send you my dh. He starts the night before about dinner time so by the time I go to bed I have NO clue what the "real" time is...

Well, I did not have to work yesterday and forgot to change the clocks before I went to bed...I woke up, looked at the clock saw it was 830 and thought..I better get up and moving...I went downstairs and put coffee on and my mom got up and looked at me very strangely and asked if I was going to work or something,,,of course I made some stupid comment about it being 830 and the day was wasting....to which she said....it is only 730 you dumb ass...!!!!
