I also know what it's like to deal with a difficult neighbor. Last years hurricane Matthew brought a tree down on our home (fortunately not our neighbors too), but throughout the repair we were constantly being harassed about why my fence, which separated our backyards, wasnot being worked on, meanwhile half of our home was crushed.

Trees are not friends with homes

Been a year and we're about 90% finished with repairs

How did you fare through the storm? We just got power back on and lost our roof, waiting on our insurance company now. We had no power, cell phones and internet but we're back and still ready for Aruba.

If you have Tampa on your Aruba connection, please check with your airline.

Hope every one is doing ok. Continuing with prayers and positive thoughts

FYI. don't know if this is helpful to anyone
SCCU where I have my car loan just offer me 3 free no payments no interest.
Most credit cards are giving those affected from either storm no payments as well for 60 days....and no accrue interest

Like most we have to pay a deduction plus the hurricane surcharge for any claims

Again so many thanks for caring
We all will get through this

Brady Bear be very careful about the car loan and taking those 3 months "off".
it may throw you into being upside down on the loan in the event of a loss.

our hurricane deductible is $3416. our regular homeowner deductible in the event of a loss is $500.

Brady Bear and Leave the kids.......where do you stand right now with power? internet? cable tv?

we are back up and running 100% and our only thing here in this neighborhood is accumulated trash.

we are so very grateful for all of the prayers

SCCU isn't adding no interest and i do have free gap through them. But a very good tip
We have no landline which I use for certain. Things, no internet. .. but I have t mobile and using my cell phone . But won't do my banking from it
As for our hurricane deduction is 2550 and 500 event of a loss
My house mortgage company offer us one free month payment. They have a special fund just disasters to help with the deduction and pays your month out of that account. Very nice
Waiting for a roofer but there are others who need it sooner than us. And would prefer they are first priority
We have the areas cover with tarp
And as Andrea said and I will say again
Thank you everyone.... You all are the very best

Our deductible is 4K, not sure how much a new shingle roof costs but I would guess about 10K, we might be blue tarping it while in Aruba, roofers are going to be backed up. We just got power last night at 11:30, we had a generator (4000watt) and a 110volt wall A/C we temporary installed in the master bedroom. No cell phones, cable or internet until power was restored. We were totally disconnected. WAHOOO, it feels good to be connected, with central A/C, cable and hot showers.
