    Christmas Gift ideas

Hey Forum friends, I am hoping you can help. I am truly stumped on a gift to get for our moms. I thought I would reach out to ask some Forum moms and grandmas what are presents that you wish your kids would get you or presents that you received in the past that you've really enjoyed?

**Gift cards will be our last resort, looking for other ideas.
Not sure when, but we will be back

For my parents I would buy foods that they wouldn’t consider spending money on. Things that would freeze well like filet mignon, crabmeat, scallops etc. We have a wonderful fish market and they have small containers of Shrimp casserole etc. so I would try and fill up their freezer. It went over so well we made it a tradition. My father loved a good tenderloin steak but would never think of spending the money on one. He was rather thrifty

I got my mom a new TV for her bedroom.

I'm SUPER sappy when it comes to my kids (of course the boys are young-ish yet). My most cherished gifts have been pictures of them - like professional shots - even Picture People in the mall ones! My daughter got me a Ninja system and a cordless Dyson last year for Xmas - I can't tell you how much I love them both, but felt terrible about the amount of cash she spent. So much so that I didn't open the Ninja for almost a month. Now it sits on my counter and I use it multiple times a week.

I do a calendar for my mom every year with pictures of her kids & grandkids - she cries every time. Then spends January cutting up the old calendar & putting the pics into an album.....wonder where my sap comes from?

I had a blanket made for Brianna this year - all pictures of Louie (her/our dog) She is going to FREAK!

The blanket came out really nice & it's soft & plush - I was worried.

I would love this - something I wouldn't spend money on, but would totally be interested in as a gift.

my mom was always easy to buy for...........turtle neck shirts and her favorite esteee lauder products.
one year i bought her a lovely designer purse and she was ecstatic.

so, how about a nice purse?

or a nice comforter set for bed?
