It's a silly, simple game but that's what's great about it. Everyone in the family has fun, kids, adults and evens teens!!!

DW and I will spend a quiet Christmas Eve together. Dinner will be Trader Joe's heat and serve foods - pot stickers, chicken parm pops, etc.

Christmas day DW and I are hosting my two daughters, SIL and grandson for a gift exchange and dinner. Dinner will be a ribeye roast, Lyonnaise potatoes, pilaf, veggie and wine. Desserts will be chocolate cake with a ganache topping and paklava.

Christmas Plans, traditions, meals?-t2ec16d-yue9s6nfmycbr1zkyo-yw-60_12.jpg Sometimes these threads take on a whole new life and that is ok, especially here in the off topic.
Jacki.......walgreens and cvs have these games.
    just a few $.
they are in the toy aisle (such as it is at cvs)
pick up a pack or 2

    simple simple simple game.
everyone starts with (lets say 3 quarters) (to heck with the chips that come with the game.
put the quarters in front of each player
draw a playing card highest goes first.
    someone rolls the dice
it will come up as L R C or a black dot.
L means pass a quarter to the person to your left (2 L = 2 quarters, 3 L = 3 quarters and so on as with the R and C)
R means pass a quarter to the person on the right
C means put a quarter to the center (the kitty)
a black DOT means keep your quarter.

    then the next person rolls

it is fast it is loud it is fun

the end is the person who is left with $ and everyone else broke
it can end quick but we played once with 10 people and game lasted an hour+

LRC is a great stocking stuffer

    clear as mud?

Christmas Plans, traditions, meals?-pokeno.jpgSounds like I need to hit CVS on my way home from work today! We always play Pokeno when the family is together down the shore & in Aruba Same deal with the money - only we used to use pennies when I was little, now it's dimes. Three cups for the change - one is 4 corners, one is center & one is Pokeno (5 in a row like bingo)

The best thing about RLC is there is no limit to the number of players per game and it takes no skill and it only takes 1 or 2 rolls to get the hang of it. Our family gets loud and competitive.
Not sure when, but we will be back

My niece's youngest one always wants to team up with whoever is winning. Then she's real bummed if she wins because she has to split her winnings.
