Christmas Sales

Thought maybe I would start this thread so we could all share on our knowledge of hot items and sales.

I will start by saying that as a former manager at JC Penney, the sale they are hold tomorrow, "the biggest sale of them all", offers some of their best prices of the year with the exception of seasonal clearance and the last two weeks before Christmas. Stores open tomorrow at 6 a.m.

Why you would be caught at the mall two weeks before Christmas, nevermind the weekend before is beyond me.

Amazon is also offering buy 2 Nintendo Ds games and receive the 3rd free.

i love pennys and if i am feeling up to it, may take a ride over to the pennys that is about 2 miles from me.

A few years ago I told the family we were getting tooooooooo big to keep buying everybody gifts. I suggested and exchange but to no avail...our family is stock full of lunatics that love nothing better than wasting money,,,,,
So I decided I would just buy for the babies..(anyone still in school) and no body else except mom and DH.....wow, I actually have money left over between pay days....
Dh and I don't buy for each other because we get whatever we want during the year and my mom I just get gift certificates for....
The kids (3 only) just get about 30 dollars worth of stuff and the rest goes for Xmas dinner (16-18 people).....
So I still spent a little, but not as bad as it could be.

paul and i made a trip to jc penney:

• i bought Kevin and Paul Columbia winter jackets ($69 each regular price $140)
• bought kevin and paul some good warm socks for skiing and snowshoeing
• bought a few fleece tops for myself
• bought a down vest for myself

everything came $170 after sale prices and the $15 coupon figured in.

savings of $188

Lisa, Nah, nothing I want. I think we are past the point of buying presents for each other...My thing is " If I wanted it, I already have it"...and rob feels the same way. I would rather have the kids happy on Christmas and watch them get what they wanted.More fun that way... Rob and I used to do each others stocking, but then that became a "200.00 fill" with do-dads, and I didn't want /need that stuff either...SO....its all about the kids now...
