    Cruising to Aruba

Here I sit plopping away on the iPad wondering about "bargains."
Here I sit watching the sunrise on a lovely cruise ship.
We r with a group of friends who could not resist a Florida resident bargain rate.
8 night cruise to Aruba Curaçao and Grnad Turk for under $500 including tax and an outside cabin.

I wonder why I booked. We have been on numerous cruises and are diamond status. But the thought of Aruba and lack of lines and lack rudeness weighs heavy.

It it should not be about a bargain.

Great deal, I can see why you wouldn't want to pass that up. Jon just said "not sure how they are going to have a day in Aruba and not want to stay."

    Any snorkeling plans?
Not sure when, but we will be back

Ugh. Been there. Our first cruise from NYC to the Caribbean (not Aruba) was an incredible bargain and, naturally, was horrific - we definitely got what we paid for. BUT we liked the concept and ended up doing quite a few journeys to, around and from Europe... just on better cruise lines.

We spent a lot of time in the specialty restaurants and on the balcony on that first cruise. Oh yeah... and one night I went way overboard at the roulette table... those "days at sea" can be killers!

    Have fun!

Wow, what a deal! I don't think that I could have passed that up either. We've cruised a lot, but I know what you mean about long lines and rudeness. But, a day in Aruba is better than no day in Aruba. I'm sure that you'll have a great time with your friends, and it's always good to get away from your daily routine once in a while. I know it will be sad to leave Aruba, but at least you know that you'll be back this year. Enjoy!

Careful, you may have to be your group's official tour guide of Aruba (lol)....great deal and I'm sure it will be tons of fun with a large group! I'm with tracey though I think I would not return to the ship on Aruba day or would have to be dragged back onto it.

    Thanks all.
It is a nice ship and great amenities but sometimes like a cattle call.

The ship is full of floridians and a ton from Britain.

When end we get off in aruba I expect to relax and breathe.
