    Carnival sunshine from port canaveral.
Huge ship. Lousy deck plan. Small pools. Small theater. Huge amount of passengers 3700.
This ship was the Destiny and rehabbed 3 yrs ago and more cabins added.

Great at itinerary but the ship is cramped.

A cruise is what you make of it.... remember you make lemonade out of lemons...
I been on Royal the last few times; and got to admit Carnival was better in some ways.
The buffet area so many more choices... the spaghetti bar (sea days was really good... cooked to order) Mag. grill oh think they have a sandwich bar till 11pm at night.. good too.
I did the your time dinner and loved it. We usually take an obs. view with this secret door out to the bow of the ship on deck 7 very forward.
They do have self laundry too..
For parking try the Radisson hotel parking; very cheap and nice lot too. Take you their and back included in your price. Best and safest place to park.

Have fun in Curacao today. I have never been on a cruise in my life, sounds like a HUGE boat with 3700 people but I have nothing to compare it to.

That was our only cruise - on the Destiny. I didn't find anything special about the ship and we had wind issues where the top deck was closed during an at sea day.
Not sure when, but we will be back

Before we were married (12 years ago) we used to cruise 2-3 times a year. We loved it, then. But after so many wonderful trips to Aruba, I think it would be hard to enjoy a cruise as much as we enjoy Aruba. It is a great way to see many islands. It's how we found Aruba.

You are right it was not special and now that the ship has 400 more cabins and less deck space it is even less special. The price was terrific and we r with good friends and having fun. Lots of rocking and rolling yesterday and 3 of us in our group including me were very seasick.

I would much much prefer a land based vacation in aruba.

Oh no, sorry for the seasickness! When we were on that ship my friend was just a few months pregnant. Poor thing, she was sick the whole time.

What are your plans for your Aruba day?
